One of these is not like the other

The following cards were designed in the same week. That means, neither of these cards existed before the other. Which therefore means, they couldn't have been influenced by each other.

What do you notice about these two cards? At first glance they seem totally dissimilar, but then . . .

Yep, both Kathleen and John chose Rivoli and Bernhard Gothic for their typefaces. Whoa! What are the chances two totally different people would choose the same typeface combination in the same week. It is pretty remarkable how different the cards look in their final manifestation too.  I think they both turned out awesome
